mid twenty
if you don’t know, or you forgot, my 25th birthday is in almost exactly two weeks. for a lot of people turning 25, the thought of a number that serious is probably making them spiral out. and that is honestly soooo fair hahaha. for me, i had that spiral about two years ago when i turned 23. i remember telling my roommate at the time that “yes i’m turning 23 today but next year i turn 24 and then i’ll be able to say that next year i turn 25 and that is terrifying!!!” and practically crying (i’m not joking). i’ve always had the gift and curse of looking ahead and crashing out over the present being so fleeting. it’s terrible. but as i close out a really hard year, 25 just seems like a beautiful milestone to hit. exactly mid-twenty. this is what it is. as i’ve mentioned in previous posts, i left the lds religion almost 5 years ago which is crazy to me. younger me assumed by 25 i would be settled down with a tall mission-returned husband, gidd...
